Shame on me!
for not having written a single word for weeks in my blog, despite the fact that there have been some alarming developments.
Nevertheless, I really hope that those few who visit my page now and then to get a bit of assurance regarding the truth which is that common sense is stronger than the Avian flu virus will have understood that my long silence was in fact a proof: there is no need to panic!
Of course, a lot of innocent birds - plus some cats and maybe dogs - have been killed during these past days all over the world, and, yes, there have been some few new cases of humans becoming sick because of the flu, but, thanks God, no OUTBREAK.
And, yes the pharma industry has been making more profits - because the mainstream media keeps on loving to scare you.

One thing is sure: human stupidity has no limits and frontiers.

We, in Hungary have a highly selfpublicized new TV-mag, its exactly two days old, called Friderikusz Now. Friderikusz is a monkey, i. e. a Hungarian TV-star, thanks to the unspeakably low level of my compatriots' needs regarding the fastfood served by the commercial media. Well now this evening this monkey picked up the topic of the Avian Flu; he invited the best Hungarian virologist, who did all his best to assure the viewers: there is absolutely no need to panic. What we now have - he said - is a veterinary disease... But in vain. Mr. Friderikusz kept on warning the audience ... because, I think, he is sure that this is exactly what people wish to hear: a death toll of hundreds of millions of human beings all over the world, an epidemic far more devastating than anything history has produced up till now...

He might be right.
